According to the Internet information – publications, compared to 2022, there will be 30 percent more tourist trains in the country. Last year, 170 trains with 23,597 customers went on flights.
In addition, the supply of tourism in the luxury segment will also increase by 57 percent. The most significant growth is expected in the high-end Transcantábrico, Al Andalus, Costa Verde Express and Expreso de la Robla trains.
These trains will make 87 trips by the end of the year, up 52 percent compared to last year.
In the spring of 2025, it is planned to launch a night train between Amsterdam and Barcelona. In June 2022, the Good Night Train project was presented by the Dutch-Belgian railway company European Sleeper.
However, the opening date of the European Sleeper route to Barcelona has not yet been announced. According to the schedule, the train will depart from Amsterdam and make stops in Rotterdam, Antwerp, Brussels and Lille. Then it will travel to the south of France and pass through Figueres, Girona, and arrive in Barcelona in the morning.
