However, I will write a separate post about skiing, but in this I wanted to tell about a place called “Mysterious Forest”, located near the city.
To be honest, we learned about this place by accident from the driver who drove us from the airport to our place of rest. He said that there are two popular tourist spots here – the Mysterious Forest art park and the Snow Village, but about the latter he explained that it is not as interesting there as the forest.
Therefore, we decided to visit the art park , and if later it will turn out in time during the rest and you want, then we will stop by the Snow Village.

The mysterious forest is located 12 kilometers from the center of Kirovsk. We went there by 19 o'clock by taxi – one way cost 270 rubles, back 350.
Two taxi services are popular in Kirovsk – Yandex (via the application) and Fortuna (by phone +7 921 040-07-08). In both, there is mostly a rather old fleet of cars (I managed to drive an old 12-ke, a killed Kalina, and renoshki), and drivers who are not always adequate in terms of safe driving (they talk on the phone while driving, dangerously overtake on a snowy road and go into turns without reducing speed). Fortuna has fixed prices, while Yandex has dynamic prices – this means that the same trip can cost both 200 rubles and 600. Personally, this divorce from Yandex did not suit me, so in moments of greed of the Moscow monopolist, they used Fortuna.< /p>
In 10 minutes we were already at the main entrance to the park. There is a ticket office where you need to buy a ticket – for an adult 600 rubles, for a child from 5 to 14 years old – 300, for children under 5 years old and pensioners – free of charge. We bought these tickets and went inside.

We were greeted by a snow-covered forest with hundreds of colorful lights and unusual musical accompaniment, which does not cut the ear in any way, but rather adds some kind of mystery to everything that happens.

There is no set route here, we went around the park from left to right, while most of the guests do it the other way around. There were not many visitors, since our visit fell on a weekday and eighth in the evening. Thanks to this, we managed to take pictures without interference.
Visitors with disabilities and high heels will, of course, have problems here, the fact is that the territory of the Mysterious Forest is spread over 3 hectares and is a dense forest with an abundance of descents and ascents, stairs and improved paths, about 1200 meters long.

The visit time flew by without noticeable, there was no such thing that we were tired and wanted finish quickly, on the contrary, I did not want to leave. Winter northern nature, combined with unusual musical accompaniment, really fascinated.

I liked this pyramid the most. I walked around it from different sides and took a huge number of wonderful photos.

And there is also a cafe in where you can drink hot tea or coffee, taste homemade pancakes (150 rubles for three delicious pancakes) and pies (100 rubles), as well as warm up and buy souvenirs.

The creators of the park really managed to combine the natural beauty of the northern region with the magical illumination of the winter forest, interesting, sometimes frightening sculptures and other unusual art objects.
I advise you to come here in the dark and stock up on free time. Inspection of the park took about 2 hours, although it was very cold. Dress warmly and comfortably, be sure to take a good camera for night shooting and a powerbank to charge to take many beautiful photos for memory. from Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and from 15 to 23 hours on Friday and Saturday.
