As part of the deal, Bayern Munich players ;Bavaria» wore the Qatar Airways logo on their uniforms and took part in winter training camps in Doha. The Bundesliga club entered into a sponsorship deal with the airline in 2018, and it must be said, much to the annoyance of a large group of fans.
The deal was reported to be around €20 million a year over the five-year deal.
“Contract between FC Bayern” and Qatar Airways ends by mutual agreement on June 30, 2023 after five amazing years of working together,” both parties said in a statement.

Munich fans protested the sponsorship deal over alleged human rights abuses in Qatar, especially ahead of the World Cup. “There is still no explanation for the wage theft and sudden death of the migrant workers who prepared and ran the tournament.”
Qatar Airways Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said the airline “wishes the team all the best in in the future.
Earlier this year, Qatar Airways managed to buy Emirates' official sponsorship of the Formula 1 Championship for the next five years.
