Budapest Franz Liszt International Airport added to its timetable is another direction. On the eve of the winter season, the low-cost carrier Wizz Air has started operating flights to Funchal — the capital of the Portuguese island of Madeira.
Flights will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. The 3 431 kilometer route is served by the Airbus A321.
Wizz Air will connect the Hungarian capital and subtropical Madeira for the first time with a direct flight.
A convenient flight schedule will allow travelers to spend long winter weekends for very little money warm in the middle of the ocean.
