January 2 came to the agency and we were offered Thailand. The hotel is located in Phuket, Karon Beach, just 38 km from the airport. I'll tell you right away about the cons: if you are planning a vacation with children, you are not here, there is nothing for children here. Quiet hotel for couples. Another minus is that it is a bit outdated, you can see the shabby furniture in the common areas, the “standard” rooms also look tired. In order not to spoil the impression, we decided to pay extra for the “deluxe”, everything is fine there. 
I must say right away that the hotel is not a budget hotel
We only took breakfast
You can go broke on drinks and food at the hotel, so if possible, take all-inclusive: the food here is super (so we haven’t tried everything). Well, or you need to plan to have dinner in the city, and for lunch you can buy fruit, as we did.
The hotel asks for a deposit, approximately 500 USD, it is returned, you can still increase the amount of the deposit (non-refundable part) at will, and then you will be credited with additional bonuses that you can spend in the spa or restaurants on site. I don’t advise you to take a room with a pool: a waste of money, it’s beautiful only in the photo, in fact the pool is small and very cold. If you pay extra, then for the view and the jacuzzi on the balcony, this room is just super! 1/1

What to see around
The hotel has parking, which is convenient as we rented a car. You can rent it without problems, there are many small rental offices, payment in cash or on the website, you can pay online even with a Russian card, but the deposit is only in cash.
We did not take excursions, we traveled all the sights on our own. It was possible to save money and take a bike, but I am a coward, and my husband did not persuade me to this adventure, I insisted on renting a car. I have seen enough horrors on the Internet, how our tourists get into motorcycle accidents, and now I have a panic fear of riding bikes in Thailand. This fear is not so unreasonable: I noticed a lot of reckless and drunk drivers around, especially among motorcyclists.
Insects and living creatures on the territory of the hotel at least – this is another of my phobias, which I “read” before the trip. Here, no one flew into our room or crawled in, we didn’t see any frightening reptiles on the territory either.

I liked Phuket itself
Atmospheric, colorful, though, for me, this color is too much, it’s good that our hotel is an island of calm, where you can return and take a break from all the fuss. Very smiling and sociable locals, they will tell and prompt. Even far from the resort, in the village, without knowledge of English, people try to help and explain themselves at least on the fingers. There was no feeling anywhere that they want to deceive us or rip off money.
I liked to relax in Thailand, but I think, for the most part, it was because of the hotel, in a simple “three-ruble note” I would not be able to relax here. We will definitely return to other resorts, I am already looking for hotels in Phi Phi and Krabi.
