Germany is lifting travel restrictions imposed by the authorities due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now even tourists can visit the country. This is reported by the German Foreign Ministry on its website.

From Saturday, June 11, 2022, the authorities lifted the previously imposed entry restrictions. However, this is only a temporary cancellation, which will supposedly be valid until August 31. If the situation with the coronavirus changes, the restrictions may come into force again.

In the meantime, Germany is open to visitors for any purpose, including tourism and business trips. In particular, travelers are not required to confirm vaccinations, past covid, or provide a negative PCR test.

Although no country is currently designated as a zone with a high virus prevalence, lifting restrictions may not work for everyone.

The exception was the people of the People's Republic of China. In particular, they still need a reason to enter Germany. But German citizens living in China can freely enter the country without good reason.

These include:

 -citizens or those with the right to reside in Germany, their spouses and partners and their minor children when entering from outside the EU, the UK and Northern Ireland;< /p>

– transit through Germany;

– other special cases .

But Russians and Belarusians are not affected by the restrictions, just like other travelers. That is, they can freely enter Germany. This was stated by the press secretary of the German Ministry of Health Hanno Kauz
