Residents of the capital like to joke that if half of the people could be evicted from Moscow, two-thirds of the cars could be removed from the roads, and scooters could be banned from the sidewalks, it would be very pleasant to live here. There are many parks, transport works smoothly, entertainment for every taste: why not a modern paradise? No, not heaven. There are also plenty of disadvantages that metropolitan residents have to deal with every day. About the most important without concealment tell straightforward “Subtleties”. When you just move to Moscow, you can’t understand: “Where is everyone rushing to?”. Then it comes: yes, who goes where. On the train, minibus, work, to the beauty salon. Over time, you begin to rush on your own and you feel as if someone is pushing you. It keeps you in perpetual tension, from which you get very tired. The main reason why everyone in Moscow is in a hurry is the considerable distances that they need to overcome, and preferably as soon as possible. Only from north to south the capital stretches for almost 50 km, and given that many people go to work in Moscow from the near or not very near Moscow, it becomes quite sad. Many people have to spend on the road 3-5 hours a day of those 8 that remain after work and sleep. But if you go on Saturday to some outlying shopping center in Moscow, you will have a complete feeling that the whole of Irkutsk has emigrated there. And so everywhere. Shops, metro, bus stops, trains, sights – all around the crowd. Tickets for events sometimes need to be bought months in advance, at exhibitions to be ready to push elbows with the rest of the visitors, to stand in line for a minibus. The best time in Moscow is early Sunday morning: there is almost no one (however, at the same time, there is often nowhere to sit in the metro anyway). 1. Very high rhythm
2. Life on the road
3. Too many people
They say about Moscow that it does not like the weak and slow. Indeed, the feeling that you are trying to snatch a piece from life often arises here.
4. Without a map, nowhere
In Moscow, it is almost useless to try to ask for directions: everyone is “not local themselves” and is totally busy – they have no time to stop. In addition, new road junctions always appear here, new and old driveways are opened and closed for repairs, construction zones arise that need to be bypassed. And the signs change endlessly, so it’s impossible to remember the way “through that restaurant”: in three months there will almost certainly be another one in its place.
5. High competition
They say about Moscow that it does not like the weak and slow. Indeed, the feeling that you are trying to snatch a piece from life often arises here. Dozens of people sometimes apply for one vacancy: imagine this in some Petrozavodsk. For places in kindergartens and in the parking lot, they almost arrange fights without rules, and snatching a good inexpensive rented apartment is a separate super-difficult quest. No time to relax.

6. Bad water
It is possible to drink tap water in Moscow with pleasure only if a high-quality filter is installed in the kitchen. The water here is hard, in some areas it has a yellowish “rusty” hue, which is clearly visible when you take a bath. Faucets and shower heads from it quickly become coated, and colored items fade with frequent washing.
Moscow is a city of show-offs: expensive cars without a silencer, daring antics for show, incomprehensible performances, and sometimes even demonstrative cruelty and neglect.
7. Noise
In Moscow, you need to try hard to find a quiet place. Thousands of cars on the roads, hundreds of human neighbors who either make repairs, or watch TV at full volume, or gather noisy companies, construction sites under the windows of apartments and offices – the noise is 24/7. Gradually you get used to it, as to the background, but doctors have long proved that the body is no better off from such addiction.
8. Show-off
Moscow is a city of show-offs: expensive cars without a silencer, daring antics for show, incomprehensible performances, and sometimes even demonstrative cruelty and neglect. All this sometimes causes irritation and hostility both to the city itself and to the people who live here.

9. Everyone comes to you
One has only to acquire their own housing in Moscow (although this is problematic due to real estate prices), as close and not so relatives begin to reach out to you in a string. Some – to see the capital, others – to stop somewhere before the flight, others – to settle the children for the time of entering the university or brothers and sisters for the period of employment. In general, the apartment turns into a courtyard. It is probably worse to live only in Sochi: there will be even more invited guests there and they will want to stay longer.
