Iberia expands its BNPL service – Buy Now, Pay Later – with Iberia Cards, which allows passengers to spread the cost of buying air tickets in installments of 3, 6, 9 or 12 months.
Services like: “Buy now, pay later” is one of the fastest growing trends in retail, and Iberia is not the only airline to seize on the idea that this type of financing could be extended to the travel industry.
Last year, Qantas launched its own option BNPL after its financial partner conducted a special study. It showed that potential passengers are much more likely to purchase tickets if they don't have to pay the whole amount up front.
Iberia says it's easy to use its BNPL service. The entire process takes literally one minute or less and is completed in just three steps.
At the moment, Iberia is the only Spanish airline offering the BNPL option.
