MTS has digitized one of the main resorts of Karachay-Cherkessia

MTS announces the launch of a program to develop the tourist attractiveness of North Caucasus resorts using digital services. As part of the program, MTS created the first free audio guide “Arkhyz. Barite Falls” and ensured the safety of travelers on all tourist routes of Karachay-Cherkessia using smart GPS trackers.

Interactive audio guide “Arkhyz. Barite Falls» begins in the center of the Arkhyz village and leads the traveler to the Barite Falls, which is located right on the slopes of the Abishira-Akhuba ridge. A walk to the waterfall with a return to the village takes about four hours, the length will be about five kilometers. On the route, tourists are waiting for breathtaking views, interesting stories and centuries-old legends, as well as inspiring melodies of Karachay-Cherkessia performed by honored artists of the republic Svetlana Dzhasheeva-Chipchikova and Ruslan Katchiev. MTS also provided the subdivisions of the Ministry of Tourism and Resorts of Karachay-Cherkessia and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic with fifty GPS trackers that will help travelers stay in touch with lifeguards during hikes and walks on numerous hiking routes of the republic. The trackers will automatically inform rescuers about an emergency situation, for example, if a tourist deviates from a given route, is motionless for a long time, falls or presses the SOS button on the device.
