The Qatari authorities are lifting all entry restrictions imposed during the World Cup from December 23, Qatar Tourism, the country's national tourism office, said on Wednesday.

“From December 23 In 2022, Qatar will be open to all tourists: now Russians will only need a passport to enter the country,” the press service of the tour office said.

The country's authorities have lifted restrictions related to the coronavirus for entry from November 1, but during the World Cup, only foreign tourists with a Hayaa card could arrive in Qatar – an analogue fan passports worth 500 rials , opened in the country over the past 24 months.

According to the tour office, the matches of the Football Championship, which was held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18, were attended by 3.4 million fans. The average attendance of the match was 53 thousand people.
