Sauna every morning and a bonus of 5 thousand euros every day: the life of a typical Finn through the eyes of Americans

Finnish blogger Dan Toomi decided to answer numerous questions from his American friends and told the whole truth about what a typical day of his 4-day work week looks like. “Every morning I come out of the sauna and take a mug of hot chocolate that my company delivers to me. After breakfast of muesli and pine needles, by about 11 o’clock I am ready to start work,” this is how his video about life in harsh Finland begins. Further, the author describes in detail his busy working day: he works at Spotify, and therefore listens to ambient electronic music in the morning, wrapped in a felt blanket.

A little later, he receives his daily bonus of 5000 EUR in the mail, and then chats on the phone with the 36-year-old prime minister of his country about Eurovision.

For lunch he is entitled to a cold herring and another portion of pine needles, and during the break he goes for a daily walk around Narnia.

There, Dan meets his neighbor, the reindeer Björksnas: he is 35 years old, so he retired 4 years ago.

After lunch, you have to return to work and participate in the first and only meeting of the day: first, he and his boss read the chapter of Marx's Capital, and then call their American colleagues. “For some reason, they work from 9 am, so I politely laughed and hung up. It's already 3:30 pm, so I'm getting another bonus in the mail for overtime. By 3:45 p.m. I’m already in bed, because at that time the sun is setting,” the blogger concludes his story. //fs.tonkosti.ru/sized/f550x700/0g/5r/0g5rzoinxjb40s8ksgcg08k4g.jpg” media=”(max-width: 549px)”>
