Scientists have named the optimal sleep pattern for longevity

American scientists from the University of Colorado have proven that a person's sleep pattern greatly affects the likelihood of heart attacks. And to live long, you need to sleep 6-9 hours a day, no more and no less.

Even if you lead an active lifestyle, do not smoke and are not genetically predisposed to cardiovascular disease, lack of sleep or too much sleep can undermine heart health. And vice versa: adherence to the regimen can compensate for the risk associated with negative factors.

Let's prove it:

This discovery was made on the basis of a 7-year study of more than 460,000 people aged 40-69. In subjects who slept less than 6 hours a day, the risk of a heart attack increased by 20%, and in those participants in the experiment who regularly fell asleep for 9 hours or more, this risk increased by as much as 34%. A group of people who are genetically prone to diseases of the cardiovascular system, devoted time to sleep and achieved success: the likelihood of heart problems decreased by 18%.

In general, the more a person deviates from the optimal sleep pattern, the more he exposes himself to the risk of heart failure, and this factor is very strong. Conclusions: healthy sleep is as important for the body as training and nutrition.
