Tunisia has lifted all covid restrictions on the entry of tourists

Tunisia has officially lifted all covid restrictions on the entry of tourists since December 1. Information about this is published on the portal of the National Tour Office of the Republic.

Previously, Russians upon arrival in the country had to present a vaccination certificate, and unvaccinated tourists – the results of PCR or a rapid test. Now these requirements are no longer valid.

The Ministry of Health of Tunisia explained this decision by a sharp decrease in the incidence of COVID-19. Over the last week of November, only 81 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the republic.

The authorities are confident that the lifting of covid restrictions will lead to the expansion of air traffic and an increase in foreign tourist flows to Tunisia. In the future, this will help the country reach the pre-pandemic level of tourist reception. Moreover, the tourism industry is one of the main sources of replenishment of the state budget.

Note that there are no regular flights between Tunisia and Russia now. However, the Nouvelair airline puts charters to Monastir and Djerba from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Tickets for them are sold only as part of tour packages.
