Yapraklı Koy Plajı Beach is a small rocky bay in the city of Atakent, 60 km from the center of Mersin. It borders on Susanoğlu beach. It is a cozy rocky bay, along the banks of which there are four beach areas with sun loungers and umbrellas – municipal and private.

Yapraklı Koy Plajı Beach, protective buoys
In my opinion, this is the best place for swimming within a radius of 100 km from the city of Mersin. There is usually a clear sea, clear water, many vacationers, it is possible to jump into the water from a height, there are protective buoys, and there is also the entire infrastructure for a beach holiday. And you can get here by minibus from Mersin.
You should know that there is no entrance fee to Yaprakla Bay. It's free. If you wish, you can rent a sun lounger on one of the beaches, in the summer-2023 season, prices are from 200 to 400 liras. There are free swimming areas on both sides of the bay.
Yapraklı Koy has four main beaches:
Municipal beach (№1)
The main municipal (paid), with blue sunbeds. It is convenient to stay here for vacationers with small children and those who cannot swim, as you can enter the water from shallow water. Cold springs beat in the water, so sometimes you can stumble upon cold areas. Here sun loungers cost 200 lire. There is no guard here, you need to look after things.

Yellow Beach (№2)
Yellow Beach (paid) – here sun loungers cost 200 lire and are very close to each other. The staff helps to find a free sun lounger. Prices for drinks are quite high – for example a can of cola – 50 lire. There are 2 stairs leading to the water. Jumping into the water from above is not allowed. Due to the high location of the beach above the water (about 2.5 meters) and the high density of sun loungers, it is very difficult to keep track of your things from the water.

Blue-white beach (№3)
< p>Blue-white beach with large umbrellas (paid) – located on the edge of the bay, behind the “yellow” beach. For me personally, this is the most convenient and favorite beach. There are not so dense sunbeds; there are several “islands”, with sun loungers for 400 lira, where you can retire with a company. Ordinary sun loungers here also cost 200 lire. There are several places where you can jump into the water, including one at a height of three meters. Guards are constantly walking around, chasing strangers off the beach. There is music playing all the time and there is a DJ. There are tables where you can sit and drink and eat.

Free extreme beach (№4)
The most extreme free. It is a rocky-concrete area, with a wooden deck near the water and a staircase to the sea. There are no sun loungers or umbrellas here, so you need to bring your own, or after 17 hours, otherwise you will fry in the sun. Locals come here with tents, umbrellas and chairs. Usually vacationers arrive here from 16:00 and swim until dark. It is not possible to lie down on this beach to sunbathe, as it is usually crowded and crowded.Free beach in Yapraklı Koy, photo 1 40c6ad9.jpg” alt=”Yapraklı Koy beach — 19 photos how to get from Mersin” />
